Tom and Abbey- Cape Cottages, Skenes Creek Wedding

Having recently returned from living in America, Tom and Abbey hosted a small and intimate ceremony and dinner with an exclusive number of their closest friends and family. What better venue for this sort of wedding than the stunning Cape Cottages, which sits nestled in the hills above Skenes Creek.

Cape Cottages has been one of my favourite venues since I photographed Claire and Dan's wedding there last year. The views are second to none, and it's a very private setting with romance and sophistication at its core. Tom and Abbey had lawn games on the go to keep their guests entertained and a 'S'more station' for toasting marshmallows- adding a little bit of American flavour.

Tom and Abbey were relaxed amongst their small number of guests and this shone through in their photos. Tom was generally full of chat and deep in conversation with Abbey throughout most of our portrait shots. At one point he looked down and asked why he was holding on to Abbey's bouquet- I didn't know- but we went with it! As dusk fell and I said my goodbyes the guests sat down to a meal of Paella in a beautiful woodland setting- perfection.
